What's the show all about?
The Preston Figure Skating Club
presents four shows through out the weekend.
In 1961, the PFSC began to
build an ice show that is now known as the best Amateur Ice Show in North
America. There will be over 300 participating in the 2009 show. Skaters
from as young as 2yrs old in our recreational program right up to our
National Level skaters, some of whom will be competing at this years
Junior and Senior Canadian Championships. Our Ice Show is a two hour
production that showcases singles, pair, dance and four disciplines.
To produce a show of this caliber requires the help of many volunteers
and the generous support of the business community.
Not only do the
audiences enjoy great skating but we also have video technology with live
feeds, professional light show, rain, blacklight, huge video screens.
Historically the ice show has been standing room only. The capacity number
of people allowed in the building is approximately 1000. The Preston
Figure Skating Club, is a wholly volunteer, not for profit
organization.
